Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modifieds Make First-Ever
Visits to Tri-County May 11, I-75 May 12
The
Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will resume racing
competition with a doubleheader weekend of open wheel racing
action that will see Open Wheel Modifieds compete for the first-time
ever at both venues.
On Friday May 11, the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified
Series will visit Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, N.C. for
an event that will pay $1,553 to win. On the following evening
on Saturday May 12, the tour will visit I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater,
Tenn. for an event that will pay $1,000 to win.
The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will make
its first-ever appearance at Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown,
N.C. on Friday May 11, racing for $1,553 to win in a 25 lap
main event. Of special interest, former NASCAR and national
racing personality Ken Schrader will be in competition with
the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series at Tri-County
on Friday May 11. Also on the racing card at Tri-County Race
Track on Friday May 11 will be the Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Models,
Crate Late Models, Interstate Welding Modified Hobby, Beginner
Street Stock, Pony, and Front Wheel Drive divisions. The pit
area will open at 4:00 p.m, with the grandstand area opening
at 5:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 7:00 p.m., followed
immediately by practice laps. Ticket prices for the Friday May
11 event at Tri-County Race Track in the general admission area
will be $17 for adults, $10 for young adults ages 11 to 16,
while children ages 10 and under free. A pit pass will be $35
for adults, $20 for young adults ages 11 to 16 while children
ages 10 and under free.
The following evening, the Iron-Man Modifieds will make their
first-ever appearance at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tenn. on
Saturday May 12 for an event that will pay $1,000 to win in
a 20 lap main event. Joining the Brucebilt Modifieds at I-75
on Saturday May 12 will be the track’s Late Model, A-Hobby,
B-Hobby, Sportsman, Thunder, Four Cylinder, and Front Wheel
Drive divisions. Gates will open at 5:00 p.m., with the drivers
meeting at 6:45 p.m., followed immediately by practice laps.
Ticket prices for the Saturday May 12 at I-75 Raceway in the
general admission area will $15 for adults in the general admission
and tier parking areas, with children ages 6 to 12 being $5,
while children ages 5 and under will be free. A pit pass will
be $30 for adults, with children ages 6 to 12 $15, while children
ages 5 and under will be free.
The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will sanction
the Open Wheel Modified portion of the event and tire rules
are as follows: Hoosier M30 or M60 and American Racer Hard and
Extra Hard. The entry fee for both events will be $25 and random
tire samples will be taken by the series.
The most recent Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series
event took place at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tenn. and
Chase King of Seymour, Tenn. would score the victory over Shon
Flanary, Ervin Vance, Amos Bunch, and Billy Palmer.
