Details Released for Competition
Thursday at Tri-County on March 29
(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Following an unfortunate rain-out
of the 2012 season opener last Friday night at the Tri-County
Race Track, promoter Ray Cook is excited to hold the first Competition
Thursday at the Brasstown, North Carolina bullring this Thursday
evening, March 29. The fun-filled night will be highlighted
by an open practice session, King of the County match races
in all divisions, and even spectator races.
Practice will take place from roughly 6:00 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.
followed by a quick drivers meeting. King of the County match
races for the Super Late Model, Limited Late Model, Crate Late
Model, Modified Street, Street Stock, and Stock 4 Cylinder classes
will be next on the card starting at 8:00 p.m. At the end of
the night, any spectators in the stands that would like to either
race or qualify their personal vehicle will be allowed to do
so, as long as they are wearing a helmet. Wells Tire has put
up $50.00 for the winner of the spectator race, so come out
Thursday night to earn bragging rights and some cash!
"The reason I came up with Competition Thursday's was
to create some additional interest at the track and to get the
facility open more often," commented Cook earlier tonight.
"We just wanted to create an inexpensive night where the
fans and drivers could come out to the track and have some fun,
with no points on the line. Plus, anyone that shows up has a
chance to win some money, either in the King of the County match
races or in their own personal vehicle. It should be a lot of
fun and hopefully the concept of Competition Thursday's will
catch on with both the fans and drivers!"
