The
2021 racing season at Tri-County Race Track is about to get
underway this Saturday, March 6 with an open practice, swap
meet, and benefit for tech man Gregg Sudderth, who was severely
burnt during a shop accident back in December. There will be
a swap meet this Saturday from 10:00am-1:00pm for anyone wanting
to sell used or new race parts. Tickets to be able to sell parts
will be $20.00 each.
There will also be an open practice session for
any race team in attendance from 1:00pm-4:00pm. Tickets to enter
your car for practice will also be $20.00 each. ALL proceeds
go directly to Gregg. Pit admission will be $20.00 for adults
and $10.00 for kids ages 11-16, while children ages 10 and under
are always admitted for FREE.
The full 2021 schedule at the Brasstown, North
Carolina facility has also been released in recent days. Featuring
fifteen special event programs and two practice sessions, the
season opener headlining the American Pro Late Model All-Star
Series is set for Friday, April 9. Between the lid lifter and
the $10,000 to win 'Tarheel 50,' which serves as the season
finale, the track will sanction events from the Schaeffer's
Oil Spring Nationals Series, the 602 Red Clay Series, the KMSA
Mini Stocks, the Topless Outlaw Late Model Series, the Blue
Ridge Outlaw Late Model Series, the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man
Modified Series, the Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series,
the Southeastern Late Model Sportsman Series, and the Castrol
Late Model Night in America Late Model Series.
"I'm excited to finally get the 2021 schedule
announced," stated promoter Ray Cook today. "It's
come later than I had planned, but there are so many things
going on in 2021 that it's been tough to complete. As a family,
we have two daughters graduating and one getting married. Along
with those three important dates, there are two football seasons
as well as a lot of different events that are being made up
from the 2020 shutdown due to COVID-19. We hope that everyone
will make plans to be with us for the 2021 season and enjoy
a great lineup of races."
Please visit the website, which is located online
at www.TriCountyRaceTrack.net, to view the entire slate of events
for 2021 and the updated rule book. Some classes have been updated
for 2021, so be sure to check out the rules for your specific
division. If you have any questions concerning the rules for
2021, please contact our tech man Gregg Sudderth at (828) 361-0383.
